The Department of History started in the year 1973. The Department is sanctioned under Higher Education, Government of Nagaland and affiliated to Nagaland University. The pedagogy of the Department includes Lectures, Group and Individual Assignments, Seminars, Project Works, Class Test, Paper Presentations, Tutorial and Remedial Classes. Courses offered by the History Department include Undergraduate (B.A) General and Honours course in History. The curriculum for B.A General and B.A Honours programme in History which is of six semester duration contain six General papers and eight Honours papers. The Department has five teaching faculty.
