The Department of Education, Sao Chang College has been in existence since the establishment of the College in 1973. The Department offers Honours at the undergraduate level. The Department follows the Semester system, with its introduction by Nagaland University in 2012. It is effectively managed by the Head of Department along with four other teaching faculties.
Presently, the department has five assistant professors for daily academic activities in realization of the course objectives and aims.
