Department of Economics came into being in Sao Chang College in 1973 with the introduction of Pass course at Under Graduate level. In 2017, Honours course has also been introduced in the department. At present, the department has four sanctioned posts in which three qualified teachers are engaged to teach the subject economics. Since its inception, the department has been striving hard to ensure academic excellence and intellectual growth of its students.
Aims & Objectives
- To impart basic economic knowledge and skills to the students to enable them to integrate it in their everyday life.
- To establish the importance of economics in the context of individual, society and the country as a whole.
- To inculcate problem solving, analytical and persuasion skills among the students for their future career.
